Payment methods

Overview

Payment methods differ by organization type. The portal domain tells them apart.

Elice-integrated organizations (<organization>.elice.io)

Payment methods are managed in the Elice admin portal on the same domain, not inside the ECI portal.

Clicking Payment method management in the left menu of the ECI portal opens the same page in a new tab.

When you need to register

Without a payment method, creating paid resources and using credits is blocked for VMs, storage, and so on, and the portal shows the following banner:

No payment method registered. You must register a payment method to create resources and use credits.

First-time registration bonus

First-time payment method registration grants you an extra ₩10,000 in credit.

Exceptions: when you can use resources without registering

If any of the following applies, you can create and operate resources without a payment method:

  • Reserved quota is active — usable during the reservation term without a separate payment method
  • You have credit remaining — free or event credits, etc.

Standalone organizations (portal.elice.cloud / portal.gov.elice.cloud)

For standalone organizations, Elice manages billing directly. The portal doesn't expose a payment method menu, and usage is aggregated and billed per the sales contract.
