In September 2025, SPC Group ran the “SPC AI CAMP” with Elice to systematically strengthen employees’ AI capabilities. The three-week program was held at Elice Lab, an offline training space in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. Thanks to a curriculum focused on applying AI directly to real work, and a practice-centered environment equipped with the latest devices, participant satisfaction was particularly high.

Building AI Chatbots That Deliver Real Impact on the Job

The biggest achievement of SPC AI CAMP was that participants went beyond simple feature demos to define their own on-the-job challenges and develop AI Proof of Concept (PoC) projects to solve them. Because every outcome was grounded in real SPC business scenarios, the results were highly practical.

One team implemented an AI system that automatically generates trend and news reports by collecting industry news and consumer data, demonstrating that both the speed and quality of reporting could be improved at the same time. Another team developed a service that automatically aggregates and visualizes food hygiene inspection data and predicts potential violations, proving that repetitive and time-consuming safety management tasks could be significantly streamlined.

In the area of market and consumer analysis, teams built chatbots that automatically search for information and generate reports, showing clear benefits in both speed and accuracy for research and analysis work.

For on-site safety management, a team presented an industrial accident prevention platform that detects hazardous conditions in advance using sensor and production data, and automatically generates safety reports.

Finally, in marketing and communications, participants developed a chatbot for pre‑screening social media posts for risk. By checking potential violations of food safety and advertising regulations before publishing, this solution drew attention as a way to minimize legal and ethical risks while strengthening consumer trust in the brand.

Through this experience, SPC employees gained the confidence that AI can be applied directly to their day-to-day work, and they saw firsthand the potential to move from individual learning to organization-wide innovation.

A Three-Stage, Practice-Centered Curriculum

SPC AI CAMP was structured in three stages—foundations, advanced hands-on practice, and team projects—so that participants could gradually build up their capabilities. Rather than merely learning concepts, the program focused on having employees actually create AI solutions that could be applied to their day-to-day work.

Phase 1: Document, Image, and Chatbot — Getting Started with AI You Can Use Right Away

In the first session, participants began with an orientation covering the latest trends in generative AI and industry use cases to understand how AI is transforming the broader landscape. This was followed by hands-on exercises with real generative AI services, giving everyone a chance to try the tools directly.

In the “Providing Context to Generative AI” session, they learned how to design prompts that improve the accuracy and relevance of AI responses. The hands-on portion then moved into document automation, AI image generation, no-code chatbot builders, and the basics of Excel VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) for spreadsheet automation. Through these exercises, participants experienced multiple ways AI can boost work efficiency.

Phase 2: RAG Chatbots and VBA Automation — Advanced Practice for On-the-Job Use

The second session focused on more advanced, job-ready use cases. In a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) chatbot lab, participants built intelligent chatbots that leverage internal data.

They then moved on to practical automation and analysis exercises, including generating and refactoring VBA code, automating real Excel workflows, and using AI as a co-pilot for data analysis. Through these scenarios, participants saw firsthand how AI can dramatically accelerate report creation and data processing.

Phase 3: Completing Projects Based on Real Business Scenarios

The third session was dedicated to team projects, where participants put everything they had learned into practice by completing AI projects directly tied to their work. Each team defined a challenge based on a real SPC business scenario and used AI tools to design and build a chatbot as a solution.

This was not just a classroom exercise—it was a chance for employees to apply AI to real operational problems and experience what it means to solve frontline challenges with AI.

An AI Learning Experience That Activated Organization-Wide AX

Through SPC AI CAMP, participants learned step by step—from the basics of generative AI, to advanced applications, and finally to chatbot development.
In particular, through a wide range of hands-on exercises such as meeting minutes summarization, drafting proposal outlines, product image generation, building RAG-based chatbots, and writing VBA automation code, they were able to concretely experience how AI can enhance work efficiency.

Participants expressed especially high satisfaction with the learning environment at Elice Lab and the practice-focused curriculum, and many shared that creating tangible outcomes on their own became a highly rewarding experience.

The SPC case is a representative example of how tailored corporate AI training can go beyond simple technology trials to produce real results in the form of operational efficiency gains on the front line. It is especially meaningful that, through company-wide training, individual employees gained confidence in using AI and the organization’s overall digital transformation accelerated.

Elice will continue to provide customized training programs and secure practice environments that meet the needs of companies like SPC, supporting them in adopting AI into their work in a sustainable way.
