Strategic MOU signed to enhance security for AI data centers
Elice Inc., an AI full-stack company providing AI infrastructure, cloud, and industry-specific solutions, announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with leading security company AhnLab to collaborate on AI data center and next-generation network security.
On the 12th, the two companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at Elice’s Seoul headquarters, with key representatives from both sides in attendance. The agreement was established to jointly build a flexible yet robust security framework capable of safely protecting data centers and edge environments, whose importance is growing rapidly with the spread of AI technologies.
Under this partnership, Elice and AhnLab plan to jointly design tailored security architectures optimized for virtual machines (VMs) and container environments where AI training and inference are performed, while also meeting the requirements of the Korean government’s Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP IaaS). This approach takes into account the unique characteristics of AI data centers, which must process massive volumes of data at ultra-high speeds.
100Gbps high-speed defense system to propose a new security standard for next-generation AIDCs
In particular, the companies will deploy AhnLab’s dedicated DDoS mitigation solution “AhnLab DPX,” capable of handling up to 100 Gbps of traffic, and its next-generation intrusion prevention system “AhnLab IPS” within the Elice AI PMDC to verify performance and stability. Through this, the partners aim to effectively block large-scale network attacks that may occur during AI training.
The two companies will also work together to strengthen the security of Elice’s proprietary Portable Modular Data Center (PMDC) technology. As an AI-specialized data center that can be rapidly deployed wherever needed, the PMDC will be equipped with AhnLab’s integrated security solutions to provide secure AI infrastructure in any location.
Building on this collaboration, Elice and AhnLab plan to jointly identify and pursue new business opportunities targeting not only public-sector organizations—where security is mission-critical—but also private enterprises that require large-scale AI infrastructure.
Jungkook Park, CTO of Elice, said,
“This collaboration will serve as a milestone in setting a cloud-based AI security standard that both public institutions and private companies can trust and rely on,” and added,
“Starting with the validation of 100Gbps-class security systems, we will work together to create next-generation AI data center security references that are competitive in the global market.”
Myoungho Yoo, Head of Enterprise Business at AhnLab, said,
“Through this agreement, we will apply AhnLab’s accumulated security technologies and expertise to Elice’s data centers, and based on real-world validation and advancement, we will build secure data center and network security environments that meet the demands of the AI era.”
